WillGo Announces New "Maxi-Flex" Trailer Operating Lease
WillGo is pleased to announce it's all
new “Maxi-Flex” operating lease for new 53’ dry van trailers.
“Maxi-Flex” combines the conventional advantages of a long term,
“walk-away” operating lease with less conventional features including early terminations and a
fixed purchase option.
To initiate the “Maxi-Flex” lease product, WillGo is currently offering new 53’ air ride vans for $7.75 per day based on a 5 year term, with early termination options at the end of the third or fourth year (with $.65 or $.35 per day retroactive termination fees, respectively), and with a fixed purchase option of $7,300 at the end of year 5.
“While some carriers would like the
low rates and off-balance sheet advantages of a 5 year lease, they have had
concerns about the confinements of the non-cancelable structure of the typical long term
operating lease,” says Charlie Willmott, WillGo’s president.
“Furthermore, they are concerned about the sunk cost of the lease
payments and the reality that they will have no equity at the end.
That kind of structure is good for some, but not everyone.”
“We designed the ‘Maxi-Flex’ so
that the customer 'can have his cake, and eat it, too!'” continues
Willmott. “The Maxi-Flex” lessee
gets all the benefits of the long term base lease with the additional flexibility of a
purchase option and early outs! These
are important extras that the conventional trailer leasing company
either can’t or doesn’t want to offer.”
“In addition,” added Willmott, “we
currently have new trailers available and others on order throughout the year.
With the growing OEM backlogs and rapidly rising prices, that’s a good
start!”
Details on the “Maxi-Flex” lease and prospective lessee applications can be found at WillGo’s website, www.willgo.com. willgo.com is the internet’s oldest and largest trailer marketplace specializing in matching buyers and sellers of dry vans, flatbeds and reefers.
